Welcome to Falafel Garden

Falafel Garden Reopening April 28 on Kawabata street.

We are moving and reopening in a new location in this neighborhood on April 28.
Our new restaurant is a 2minute walk north of Demachiyanagi station on Kawabata dori.We hope you join us for the same delicious falafels and kebabs in an all new beautiful location right next to the river.

Only a two-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station on the Keihan train line, Falafel Garden Israeli restaurant is located in a comfortable and spacious traditional machiya townhouse that mixes Japanese and Israeli cultures. As Kyoto University, Shimogamo Shrine and the Kamo River are all close by, tourists and students are among our frequent customers.

Falafel Garden is a classical-style Japanese house nearly a century old that has been remodeled to create a calm and soothing atmosphere. Our second floor has been made into an airy, loft-like space that gets a lot of natural light. Many of our guests tell us how much they enjoy Falafel Garden’s comfortable and rejuvenating space.
Falafel Garden offers excellent food and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Please come and give it a try!
